MOVIE DESCRIPTION:

Photo of The Egyptian DVD TV movie based on the singer's life, under his mother's thumb, competing with the ghost of one of the most famous singers in C&W music history, and aspiring to rise above it all.
Growing up in the shadow of his legendary father, Hank Williams Jr. struggles with alcoholism and his domineering mother. After Hank Sr. dies, while his son Kank Jr. is just a boy and for most of his childhood his mother puts him on stage to sing his father's material. After nearly dying from a fall while mountain climbing, Williams makes his peace with his father's reputation. In time, finding his own musical voice and success on his own terms.
The plot follows the semi-autobiographical book Living Proof by Michael Bane and Hank Williams Jr.. An enjoyable movie for fans of Hank Williams Jr. and Country Music fans alike.
