YOU CANNOT FIND BETTER QUALITY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!
This is a truly beautiful and charming tale about coming of age. Of friendship and more importantly what it really means to become a woman. Two fifteen year olds, Ferris (Tatum O'Neal) and Angel (Kristy McNichol), meet when they attend the same girls summer camp and are assigned to bunks right next to each other in the their cabin. It is hate at first sight, as the two are seemingly polar opposites. Romantic and an avid reader of romantic tales, Ferris comes from a wealthy and thus privileged background. While streetwise and chain-smoking Angel is from the proverbial wrong side of the tracks. The two do however have one similarity, they are both virgins. They are apparently the only two of their age in the cabin that have yet to blossom into womanhood. Due to pressure from their cabin roommates, most specifically the aggressive Cinder Carlson, the two enter into a bet on who will lose their virginity first and by the end of the summer. Ferris, who initially seems more interested in the pursuit of the opposite sex, quickly sets her sights on Gary (Armand Assante), an older coach at their camp. On the other hand, Angel finds her own target, namely Randy (Matt Dillon), an equally streetwise boy attending the boys camp across the lake...
A funny, touching, very well acted and enjoyable movie that will make you laugh, cry and take you back to a time of innocence.
